Early season food plot at Dakota Hot Spots
The food plots are looking great in 2018! They are thick and full this year which will provide great cover for pheasants, and an even better place for our hunters to go after them! Don't let your 2018 pheasant hunting season be a bust, come join us at Dakota Hot Spots for an outstanding hunting experience!

The land at Dakota Hot Spots offers a variety of cover from cedar trees, to milo, sorghum, corn and winter wheat. The plots are stripped for easy walking, along stripping cover to maximize birds flying.
Dakota Hot Spots doesn't own the whole lake on the property, but our property almost covers the entire thing. As birds flush out of cover over the lake, it offers a beautiful backdrop to a scenic South Dakota pheasant hunt.
Tree Belts Around The Lodge offer great pheasant shelter
We have many tree belts and cedar trees that hold birds on the property, especially during late season when the food plots fill up with snow. The tree belts (shelter belts) are key to a pheasants survival during the winter and even cover from predators. We have a huge amount of trees surrounding the lodges and all over the property.
