2009 Started with a bang as I hunted Northern Minnesota for Black Bear. The season started on Sept 1st, I was hunting with Arrowhead Wilderness Outfitters. This was the first bear I had seen, it was the 4th night and my 300 Win Mag wanted some attention. I was shooting 150 grain Federal Power Shok Speer Hot-Cor bullets. I hit the bear behind the shoulder, the bear ended up being a dry sow weighing 190lbs. She has a gorgeous coat and will make a fine rug. I highly recommend this hunt as the service and the experience was exceptional.
